Environment
Care for our Habitat
At ADL, we strive to be a knowledge leader and a sustainable organization, fully committed to reducing our environmental footprint. We recognize that our operations affect the planet, and we view it not only as a responsibility but as a moral obligation to minimize our environmental impact. From product development to our day-to-day activities, environmental consciousness is central to everything we do. We are dedicated to accountability and making meaningful progress toward our sustainability commitments. Transparency is of utmost importance to us. We actively communicate our progress, successes, and challenges through our Sustainability Report. Our focus extends beyond improving the environmental performance of our processes; we also aim to reduce the carbon footprint of our products by adopting sustainable business practices and promoting sustainability efforts throughout our entire value chain. Our environmentally responsible production processes include conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for new projects. These assessments help us develop mitigation plans to address potential environmental impacts. As a result of these studies, we select the most suitable technology at the design stage to ensure minimal impact on both the environment and the communities surrounding us. For existing projects, we have established Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and compliance is regularly evaluated through the Aarti Drugs Management System (AMS).
Water
We anticipate the issue of long-term availability of water and we want to become self sufficient in our water usage. Our strategy is to set priorities for the future water-positive goal. We have zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) in our facilities to achieve this goal. Our operations do not cause any direct impact on any water body as we have adopted ZLD at all our sites. To reduce dependability on freshwater supplies, our prime focus is on recycling water back into operations. Water from municipal corporations is used at Aarti Drugs Limited for cleaning processes, heating, and cooling purposes. We reuse the steam condensate to reduce freshwater consumption and the amount of energy required for reheating at boilers. As part of our Environmental sustainability procedure, Environment Impact & Risk Assessments (EIA) for new projects are conducted. We have a strategy in place to mitigate the potential environmental risks from our projects. We inherently adopt the appropriate technology in our processes to enable minimum impact on the Ecosystem. We have implemented Environmental Management Systems for the ongoing projects, and Aarti Drugs Management System for sustainability assurance.

Climate Change
Aarti Drugs Limited policy states that the environment is important for us and committed to take care of nature. This isn’t just the right thing to do, but it also helps our business keep going smoothly. We work hard to do things in a way that doesn’t harm the environment much. We want to help make a world where everyone can have a good life in the future. To do this, we use the best methods and resources available at our manufacturing sites. Whenever we start our new projects, we check how they might affect the environment and we plan to reduce any impacts on the environment at very early stages.. We choose the best technologies from the start to make sure our projects don’t hurt the environment and the community. For the existing projects, we have an Environmental management program in place to manage the environment. We regularly monitor and take appropriate actions to assure environmental sustainability.
Energy
Effective energy management at our sites makes us cost-effective, less pollution, and helps us to preserve the natural resources. Looking at the scarcity of conventional energy sources and to reduce our greenhouse gases, we have focused on increased productivity and potential energy savings. Additionally, we are investing in renewable energy sources to meet our near term and long term energy reduction goals. We’re committed to shrinking our impact on the environment to support the UNFCCC’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC’s).
When it comes to greenhouse gases, we’re working hard to make sure we’re not adding too much to the problem. Most of these gases come from burning fossil fuels and using electricity, so we’re trying to be smart about how we use them. Our goal is to lower emissions by using less diesel and coal where we can and being careful with the electricity we buy.
Material, Chemicals, waste & Emission
We care a lot about how we use the raw materials and chemicals, and how we handle our waste. We are dedicated to using raw materials wisely, handling chemicals safely, and minimizing our waste. We work hard to use materials efficiently and make as little waste as possible. Our aim is to turn leftover materials into valuable resources whenever possible. Our research and development and manufacturing operations focuses on finding efficient ways to use the raw materials and our by-products to convert into marketable products. Waste generated during manufacturing activities are segregated, stored safely and safe disposal is ensured to meet compliance obligations. We have adopted efficient emission control technologies and monitoring strictly to prevent harmful emissions to the environment and avoid using substances that harm the environment. We follow strict guidelines to make sure we don’t release harmful stuff into the air and don’t use chemicals that harm the ozone layer.
